Sustainability and legally compliant disposal matter to us. Here you'll find all the information you need on disposing of electrical equipment and batteries correctly.

Go straight to the disposal information

Important: electrical equipment and batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. Please use the designated collection points.

Information on disposing of electrical and electronic equipment

Electrical equipment that can be used in private households is marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. This symbol means that the device must be disposed of separately from household waste.

Waste equipment should be taken to the dedicated collection points provided by your local authority, where it will be recycled properly.

Before handing in a device, please remove any batteries that are not permanently built in, provided they are accessible. You are also responsible for deleting any personal data stored on the device.

Separate collection protects the environment and conserves resources, and allows waste to be recycled in an environmentally sound way.

Information on battery disposal

As an end user, you are legally required to return used batteries. Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.

You can return waste batteries free of charge to local authority collection points or to our dispatch warehouse, provided we stock or have stocked that type of battery.

What the markings on batteries mean:

  • Pb = contains lead
  • Cd = contains cadmium
  • Hg = contains mercury
Separate disposal protects the environment and human health, as harmful substances can be treated properly.
